Bio – Valentina
Valentina Danubio is an Italian stand-up comedian and musician originally from Sicily, based in Dubai since 2015. With a background in musical theatre production in Italy, she has continued her creative journey in the UAE, launching a variety show in Italian in Dubai in October 2022.
Valentina began her stand-up comedy career in January 2023. Just six months in, she won a local competition called Survival of the Funniest, and that same year made her debut at Dubai’s acclaimed The Laughter Factory. She was invited back to perform again in April 2024 and April 2025, a testament to her growing presence in the Middle East’s comedy scene.
She has performed multiple times as part of the Abu Dhabi Comedy Season (2024–2025), including a special opening set in Italian for UK-based comedian Luca Cupani. In December
2024, she opened four nights for John Achkar’s New Material shows, and expanded internationally with performances in Saudi Arabia (February 2025) and Cyprus (April 2025).
Valentina’s comedy is clean, sharp, and deeply relatable. Drawing from her life as an Italian working mom living in an Arab country, she brings a fresh perspective to topics like motherhood, pregnancy, body image, job hunting, and cultural differences — all with warmth, wit, and authenticity. A classically trained pianist, who also adds musical flair to her sets with bits on the ukulele.
