Bio – Imah
There’s a special kind of anger reserved for the person who finishes the milk and puts the empty carton back in the fridge, a small but undeniable betrayal. It’s the kind of everyday moment that stand up comedian Imah effortlessly turns into comedy gold. As one of the Gulf’s most recognized Filipina comedians, her brilliance lies in transforming life’s tiny frustrations into relatable, laugh out loud stories.
Originally from Cotabato, Philippines, Imah moved to Dubai in 2007 and began her corporate career before breaking barriers as one of the first Filipina comedians in the Middle East. Her journey includes a breakthrough performance at the Global Comedy Fest in 2018, a sold out solo show ‘Imah’s Day Off’ in 2020, her personal special ‘Rice & Sand,’ and earning the UAE Golden Visa, recognising her impact on the region’s comedy scene.
Off stage, she describes herself simply as a wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Her humour is rooted in her upbringing, where family storytelling, playful teasing, and shared laughter shaped the voice that now connects with audiences across the world.
