Bio – Hugsy
Hugsy is widely regarded as one of the best event hosts and MCs in the UAE and Middle East. With over 20 years of experience Hugsy has become the go to presenter & Event MC for brands and events across the UK, USA and UAE. In those 2 decades Hugsy clocked up over 15,000 hours of Live experience in TV, Radio and Live Environment Event hosting
Hugsy started his TV Presenting career on the BBC as the anchor presenter for a series of Children’s Educational programs which led him to be snapped up to guest present on Nickelodeon. Hugsy went on to secure roles with SKYTV launching their gaming channels as well as roles with ITV 1 & 2, Live auction channels and various Shopping Networks. Outside of the U.K. Hugsy spent 4 years working with the entertainment Network as a Red Carpet Host and 2 years as a Radio host / producer on Dubai 92.
After a successful career as a TV presenter in the UK, Hugsy transferred his unique skill set to the UAE. As a full time resident for almost 17 years Hugsy has carved out a niche market in the Consumer Events, Corporate Events, Music Festivals, Awards Ceremonies and product launch sectors. His natural charm and quick whit has seen Hugsy take to the main stage for some of the UAE’s biggest International large scale events including; F1 Abu Dhabi, Dubai Jazz Festival, Gitex, Dubai International Motor Shows, Music Festivals, Christmas Festival, Fitness Festivals and high end consumer festivals including Taste of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In 2018 Brand Hugsy was launched bringing together all the facets of his knowledge and talent. The Brand boasts a Mentoring & Corporate Media Training Platform, Virtual Hugsy Voice Over Services and even a high fashion label called HY/DE. Specialising in exquisite lamb leather jackets. Hugsy designed the HY/DE Classic Collection and a Couture line called HY/DE Elite that has already become a firm favourite with celebrities and sports stars across the UK and USA. HY/ DE has graced the covers of several high fashion magazines, The Voice UK and even performers at Queen Elizabeths Birthday party celebration at the Royal Albert Hall.
For Over 10 years Hugsy has also has a second career running hand in hand with hosting career, Hugsy is a seasoned and well respected Show Director and Show Caller holding key roles on large scale events including the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Wimbledon Championships, Heavy Weight title boxing matches to name a few,
Most recently Hugsy as become the Global Head of Entertainment for the World Tennis League, World Padel League and World League of Fighters allowing him the creative freedom to develop a multi-brand identity in the domestic UAE Market and Internationally
