Bio
Vahimiti is an Italian singer-songwriter who was raised in the mythical Maori culture
and music of French Polynesia, where she has lived and to which she owes her
Polynesian name. Having grown up listening to the pulses of Soul, R&B, Hip Hop,
Blues, and Jazz too, Vahimiti's music is a harmony of these different influences and
cultures with a touch of her Mediterranean Italian heritage, which first chapter is
gathered in her first solo album, “Motown Dream”. The project is a bridge between
Vahimiti’s world and the finest Detroit nu-soul sound produced by the talented
Vernon D. Hill (Slum Village, Dwele). As singer Vahimiti performed worldwide with
many bands, orchestras, acoustic duos/trios and other artists on the prestigious
stages of the greatest theatres and venues in Italy and countries like Uk, Germany,
France, Morocco, Emirates, Montecarlo, French Polynesia, Bahrain and more. As
backing vocalist and recording artist she collaborated for many years with the best-
seller Italian crooner Mario Biondi, touring and recording albums. She also
collaborated with the Master of Spaghetti Funk soundtracks Franco Micalizzi and
shared the stage with the acclaimed Uk soul singer Tony Momrelle, the legendary
acid jazz Uk band Incognito, Son Pascal, Orchestra del Cinema Italiano, The
Sessions Voices ensemble, Badara Seck, Gerardo di Lella Orchestras, and many
others.
