The night life in Dubai can be fickle, however Noel's continuing belief in his craft, he now found his audience, and they have discovered a smart sexy mix of jazzy, soulful dance punctured with Brazilian, Latin, European, African, and Middle Eastern rhythms. Basically there is nothing you might not hear - from quality jazz - fusion thrown between two House tracks, to a mid fifties French song, to a Latin fused reggae set. Music has changed it’s been fused with international world beats with influences from around the world. At the DIMC you can expect a tireless journey of chances, pushed boundaries with a sense of panache, style, and sophistication, with Noel leading the way searching endlessly for yet another groove to share with you.
Noel Dubai FM’s most unique DJ/Presenter Noel arrived in Dubai from the UK in June 1998. Noel's previous experience as a DJ has included playing music for album launches and showcases for the likes of Janet Jackson, Prince, Toni Braxton, Puff Daddy, Boyz to Men, Gipsy Kings, Eternal, Bobby Brown, Blackstreet, SWV, Eryka Badu and Jodeci.
On arrival to Dubai he worked at the prestigious Carters Wine Bar as a resident DJ 4 nights a week. However he was swiftly recruited to work for the popular DIMC (Dubai International Marine Club) of Le Meridian Mina Seyahi Hotel in Jumeriah on Friday evenings, entertaining a cosmopolitan crowd to a backdrop of palm trees, cocktail bars and swimming pools.
His individualistic mix of Chilled out grooves/Jazzy beats/Vocal House and International flavors is one of the highlights of his popular sets. The first DJ to introduce most of the branded labels that are now firmly established on Dubai's night scene. Hotel Costes, The Buddah Bar, Hed Kandi but to name a few.
As well as his own personal releases The Lounge Sessions 1 and 2 on BMG Records and the mix cd on Dubai's by monthly Remix magazine.
September 1998 saw Noel on the airwaves across the UAE with Emirates Radio 1 in Dubai. Firstly with 2 specialist R&B shows which was then followed by an additional 4 nightly formatted shows. A potential audience of nearly 1 Million listeners and a reception as far as Oman and Bahrain, not forgetting almost single handily kick starting the R&B revolution that has since saturated the airwaves across the UAE. Noel has surely left his mark on the region.
